In 2007, 4 friends from the University of Kent at Canterbury got together to ponder over summer plans. Producing a hit movie, robbing a bank, planning to throw apple pies at Student Loans Company staff and eating Dairy Milk Giant Buttons were all discussed until Chris mentioned the Student Brake Away Rally (formally the Student Gumball Rally). Instantly we were hooked and already dreaming up big plans for the event.
Team SNH aim to complete this event and to travel across Europe to raise money for various charities. This is an adventure of epic proportions. It involves students from all over the United Kingdom driving across Europe to experience the different and varied cultures that these countries have to offer. An estimated 1000 students will take part in this years event. The student brake away rally is only 1500 miles but we are not going to stop there and plan to do a further 2000 miles on the return trip to the UK finishing in Canterbury, Kent, 15 days later.
